How The Fetch Works

Appointments

In order to provide the appropriate level of care for pets that might need a little extra TLC and allow for the unpredictable nature of weather and traffic, our appointment times are approximate. Your groomer will arrive within 1 hour of the scheduled appointment time.

Online Booking is the fastest and easiest method to request an appointment. However, you can also make inquiries via email, text, or phone.

Once approved, you’ll receive confirmation via email or text message as well as a notification 48 hours prior to your appointment.

Cancelling or rescheduling appointments require a 24 hours notice plus there is a $25 fee for late cancellations and a full service fee for “no shows”.

How We Set Prices

Price is based primarily on the size and coat type of your pet – NOT THE BREED. The more product, time, and effort it takes to groom a pet the more it costs. On the other hand, if it takes less product, time, and effort the less it will cost! After all – fair is fair!

*Any price quotes given will be an estimate simply because we won’t know how much time or effort will go into the groom until it’s complete.

What To Do

ON THE DAY OF YOUR APPOINTMENT YOUR GROOMER WILL CALL OR TEXT YOU WHEN THEY ARE ON THE WAY TO YOUR HOME. PLEASE HAVE A SPACE NEARBY WHERE THE GROOMER CAN PARK (PREFERABLY AN EVEN SURFACE).

Grooming Session Report

When grooming is completed the groomer will review the service and any observations they might have about your pet’s health and behaviour. At this point you’ll pay for the service (we take payment in cash or via EMT) and your groomer will offer to reserve a spot for your pet’s next groom.

*We recommend all pets be groomed every 4 – 6 weeks to keep their skin, coat, ears and nails in good shape.

Appointment Etiquette

Owners are not allowed in the van during the grooming process. However, your groomer can text you pictures and updates as they groom (pet behaviour and time permitting).

Please do not interrupt the grooming process by knocking on the van door. Sudden noises and interruptions can startle a pet, and seeing their owner midway through a groom can disrupt the “flow.” If you need to communicate with the groomer you can call or text. If we see the owner is trying to contact us we will always make sure to respond (if we’re in the bath it might take a few minutes!).
